I am an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Economics at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, University of Virginia.
I previously held faculty positions at the Naval Postgraduate School, and the University of California, Berkeley. I was also the former director of the Center for Leadership Simulation and Gaming at the University of Virginia.
My research interest is in game theory, organizational economics, and financial economics, often utilizing tools from experimental economics and behavioral economics.
In addition, my Department of Defense research interest has been in market design, focusing on issues of retention, compensation, and assignment. I also have designed and taught classes related to national security and resource strategy.
